Hi! I’m Anne. Let me introduce myself.
I am an Austin-based documentary filmmaker, photographer, and communications strategist who believes the most powerful stories are rooted in human connection. Over the past decade, my work has centered on telling stories that bridge understanding – whether through advocacy campaigns, creative media, or intimate portraits of people and place. My career has largely lived at the intersection of public education, philanthropy, and communications. Whether through film, photography, or strategy, I aim to move people toward empathy, understanding, and collective action.
I direct independent creative projects, where my lens has taken me from weddings and portraits in Texas to documentary projects abroad. My most recent series, created in partnership with Warm Heart Worldwide in Northern Thailand, highlighted community-led solutions to poverty and sustainability. I also advise purpose-driven organizations as part of Connecting Our Stories, a woman-owned and led consulting firm providing nonprofits and small businesses with storytelling, coaching, and gathering support.
My approach to storytelling is rooted in observation, authenticity, and respect. I strive to document moments, big and small, that reflect who people are and what matters most. I believe that the act of storytelling itself can be transformative – it connects us, reminds us of our shared humanity, and helps us see each other more clearly.
Outside of work, you’ll find me hiking Austin’s trails, performing aerial acrobatics, tending my garden, painting, or caring for my bees. I like to think of myself as an extroverted introvert. I love hosting intentional gatherings that spark connection and joy, but recharge in solitude and creativity.
